At Biodynamic Wellness, we believe healing is most powerful when you don’t have to walk it alone. Our practice is lead by Functional Nutritional Therapist, Integrative Health Practitioner and former cancer mom, Season Johnson and her husband Josh to provide whole-person care—body, mind, and spirit—for families facing cancer.
Grounded in functional testing and ancestral wisdom, our team combines expertise in functional nutrition, detoxification therapies, and holistic lifestyle support to help clients rebuild strength, restore balance, and create an internal environment where cancer cannot thrive.
Season Johnson is the heart behind Biodynamic Wellness—a practitioner, educator, and lifelong advocate dedicated to helping families thrive through and beyond cancer. Her passion for holistic care was born from personal experience: when her two-year-old son was diagnosed with cancer, she devoted herself to understanding every facet of healing. That season of challenge became the foundation for her life’s work, inspiring her to bring compassionate, evidence-based, and ancestral-rooted care to others walking similar paths.
Recognized for her leadership in holistic health, Season has received the Weston A. Price Foundation Activist Award, the Children’s Health Advocate Award from the Nutritional Therapy Association, and the doTERRA Elevation Award. She’s also served as the Health and Wellness Expert for the Oscars and partnered with organizations including the San Francisco 49ers, Atlanta Braves, and Washington Nationals.
Through speaking, mentorship, and her work with Biodynamic Wellness, Season continues to empower individuals and families with knowledge, hope, and the tools to reclaim their vitality—body, mind, and spirit.
With 17 years in conventional medicine, Sam brings a unique perspective to functional health—addressing the body, mind, and spirit as an integrated whole. Her background in holistic nutrition, personal training, and advanced functional testing allows her to design highly individualized care plans that go beyond symptom management.
In recent years, Sam has specialized in metabolic health and after-cancer care, helping clients rebuild strength, restore balance, and create lasting vitality after treatment. She uses targeted nutrition, movement as medicine, tailored supplement protocols, and root-cause testing to guide each client’s healing journey.
Sam’s experience spans Sports Medicine, Depression Care, and Obesity Medicine, and she holds advanced certification as a Level 2 Restorative Wellness Practitioner. A former Ironman triathlete and NPC bodybuilding competitor, she now channels that same dedication into empowering her clients to thrive in their health.
Based in Raleigh, NC, Sam lives with her husband and two children and is passionate about equipping others to feel resilient, restored, and fully alive.
Sara is a Functional Nutrition Practitioner who combines integrative, evidence-based care with compassionate, individualized support to healing. To map where the body is struggling, she uses conventional and functional lab testing to discover root causes behind the symptoms her clients are experiencing.
Sara’s work is grounded in clinical research and shaped by lived experience. As a Marine spouse raising a young family, she navigated a difficult personal health journey—recovering from stomach pain, brain fog, panic attacks, fatigue, nausea and heart palpitations—which deepened her commitment to root-cause care and practical healing. That journey taught her how powerful it is when testing, thoughtful treatment, and persistence are woven together with compassion. She brings that same practical optimism to every client relationship: listening first, explaining results clearly, and building a roadmap that respects each person’s priorities and constraints.
Her practice centers on gastrointestinal/digestive issues and maternal health, but she welcomes anyone ready to dig deeper into what’s driving their symptoms. She also works as a perinatal childbirth educator and birth doula.
Sara is dedicated to helping you build a sustainable healing lifestyle with these steps:
1. Prioritize – There is an order to healing and we must honor the body’s priority to heal.
2. Discover – Identify what is causing your body to be imbalanced and confusing your immune system.
3. Customize – A protocol tailored to you using diet, lifestyle and supplements if needed.
When you work with Sara you can expect partnership and education. She provides clear explanations of tests and findings, an actionable short term plan to reduce symptoms, and a long term strategy to restore resilience.

Jamelle is a Southern California native who lives in Carlsbad with her daughter. When her child was only 5 months old, she started a local chapter of a Holistic Mom’s Group where she met and grew a close relationship with our Founder, Kim Schuette.
Kim was an impactful mentor for Jamelle and inspired many parenting philosophies on how to raise her daughter and shared many nutritional principles on how to feed her family. Inspired by Kim, Jamelle has followed the Weston A. Price eating lifestyle for many years. Her focus has been on nutrient-dense, organic, whole-food eating and a non-toxic and holistic lifestyle.
With a desire to follow in Kim’s footsteps, Jamelle recently went back to school to continue her studies at the American College of Healthcare Sciences. She has achieved her first goal of a Diploma in Holistic Health Practice and now she is on the path to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Holistic Nutrition.
She’s honored to be a member of the team at Biodynamic Wellness and be a part of helping to keep Kim’s legacy alive!
